Supplier Engagement and Development Engineer III

SUMMARY This is a technical leadership role to drive supplier development and engagement through two-way common goals.
Oversees overall supplier performance including quality, cost, delivery/logistics, NPD and management.
Continuously improve quality, business and manufacturing processes which includes supporting and participating in product/process improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Lead supplier development for assigned suppliers.
2.
Assess, audit and develop suppliers to meet JLG/Oshkosh requirements.
3.
Provide coaching and technical support to suppliers for 8D problem solving, APQP, PPAP, technical review as well as implementation of Lean and Six Sigma.
4.
Continuously review supplier capacity, agility and ensure production readiness.
5.
Continuously monitor supplier's critical manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers to improve their process capabilities.
6.
Oversees overall supplier performance management including quality, cost, delivery/logistics, NPD and management.
7.
Manage GMFE (grow, maintain, focus and exit) supplier assessment process.
8.
Support the development and execution of global category strategy.
9.
Drive supplier engagement with two-way common goals.
10.
Travel potentially up to 50% (both domestic and international) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or extensive relevant experience 8 plus years of related experience in a manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal relation and communication skills and ability to develop a cooperative work relationship with both internal and external.
Strong problem solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Quality field Engineering or manufacturing experience with deep knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to components and assemblies for JLG/Oshkosh.
Production shop operations experience or knowledge Practitioner or experienced in Lean and Six Sigma.
Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt (or able to obtain with in 12 months) Experience of PPAP, Lean and Six Sigma.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
