SUMMARY


The project engineer is responsible for working with the field sales and service teams to document issues, determine root cause, and initiate corrective actions for customer complaints, high warranty incidents, and areas where parts sales are abnormally high. In this capacity the role will work closely with the customer support teams and the product support engineering group to act as a first responder on areas of high customer dissatisfaction. In addition the project engineer will work with the NPD teams to collect the voice of the customer on field test machines, define application profiles, and identify opportunities for improvement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Act as a first responder to customer complaints by working with the field sales and service teams, customer support teams, and the product support engineering group to collect information, document issues, and initiate corrective actions.

  2. Investigate high priority incidents in the field by collecting data required for root cause analysis

  3. Document and clearly communicate detailed information on customer complaints to the customer support team and product support groups for resolution.

  4. Coordinate with the product management team to field machines to collect the voice of the customer. Including setting up data loggers and interviewing customers and end-users.

  5. Provide data driven feedback to the new product development teams in an effort to identify areas for product improvements

  6. Observe end-users on a wide variety of jobsites and collect data to define application profiles

  7. Act as a key liaison between the sales, service, and engineering

  8. Develop and coordinate a technical advisory council to assist the engineering team in evaluating trade-offs.

  9. Collaborate with product management and new product development engineering to develop product definitions for new products, translate product definition requirements into engineering specifications, and make design related trade-offs

  10. Support sales and marketing at customer meetings by representing the engineering function

  11. Work with field sales, product management, and engineering to define solutions for unique applications in the field


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering

  • 5-plus years of related experience

  • Strong presentation and written communication skills

  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner

  • Willingness to travel greater than 50% of the time and work unsupervised

  • Ability to be trained on the proper operation of aerial work platforms and telehandlers

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as a member of a high performance team

  • Strong analytical decision making skills

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
