SUMMARY


Perform technical leadership in high level analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. This is a non-supervisory position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedure

  2. Researches, studies, and proposes use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products

  3. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues

  4. Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures

  5. Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability

  6. Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records

  7. Directs preparation layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material for Hydraulics system

  8. Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements

  9. Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the Oshkosh Way. Conduct duties consistent with the Company's mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures

  10. Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support

  11. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication

  12. Provide guidance to team members to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed and documented

  13. Establishes priorities for work delegated to others

  14. Provide leadership to a technical staff to ensure program success.

  15. Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives

  16. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering

  • 8-plus years of related experience

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Previous experience in a heavy equipment industry

  • Previous experience in mobile hydraulic system design and/or validation

  • Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles and related systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
