Job Description
Work new and existing account pricing requests.
Analyze and question data on profitability reports, competitor statements, comp offers, etc.
Create pricing models and manipulate profitability reports.
Strong ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines.
Perform profitability analysis of existing merchant base to facilitate:
Establishment of optimal profit thresholds for our merchant portfolio
Identification of product and entitlement revenue opportunities
Industry Analysis of competition to facilitate:
o Pricing Strategy for new account acquisition
o Identification of market and product opportunities
Create and maintain profit and loss statements for our major merchants.
Support Business Modeling efforts of New Partnerships and Aggregator Relationships.
Assist the Pricing Director, Pricing Manager, Sales Managers, Sales Consultants and Relationship Managers on:
o The pricing model
o Exception pricing
o Pricing policies/strategies
o Pricing issues
Assist the Pricing Director and Pricing Manager with various ad hoc analysis/reports and special projects.
Candidate Requirements Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Math. 2-4 years experience, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail necessary to analyze various financial documents including:
o Competitor's statements
o Interchange schedules
o Merchant statements
o Account profitability
o Calculation of refunds
o Savings Analysis
o Identification and communication of account set up issues
o Identification and communication billing issue to the merchant and our partner
Advanced PC/spreadsheet/database skills.
o Including working knowledge of creating formulas
o Linking formulas between spreadsheets
Sufficient understanding of accounting principles applicable to the Pricing analyst functions.
Ability to multi task, prioritize and meet critical deadlines with ease including:
o Daily assignments including hold over(rate reviews and new account files)
o Pricing Group Email Inbox
o Pricing Hot Line
o Rush requests and escalations
Strong team player who regularly volunteers to assist partners, take on additional responsibilities, and assist co-workers.
Proven effective, detailed, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively:
o Document responses and feedback to various levels of Priority Unit Advocates, Assigned and Unassigned Relationship Manager's, Sales Consults, Sales Managers, Management of all levels.
Works independently with little to no direction.
Takes clear and concise notes and uses available resources prior to requesting assistance from fellow team members or Management.
Cross trains and shares knowledge with team of pricing analysts and documents and tracks within shared drives/folders.
Flexible work schedule during special events such a Spring and Fall Association Releases.
Efficiently and effectively follows new guidelines and processes established with ease and monitors new communications for changes.
