We are excited to announce that we are now hiring for the Mental Health Walk-In Clinic and Crisis Unit.
The Mental Health Walk-In Clinic will provide immediate mental health services on a walk-in basis both children and adults in need.
Additionally, the Crisis Unit provides 24/7 support and clinical intervention for those who are experiencing crisis level substance use/addiction issues.
Our team of professionals will include specialty trained Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Master's Prepared Clinical Social Workers and Counselor's as well as recovery support peers, Nurse Practitioners and Physician oversight.
Job Description:
The Peer Support Specialist is a vital member of the behavioral health team who intervenes to provide emotional and social support, listening, sharing experiences and navigation of health resources to help others gain and/or sustain recovery from an active substance use disorder.
The Peer Support will use their personal recovery experience to instill a sense of hope and optimism for persons in need of recovery.
Responsible to help motivate patients to follow through with treatment recommendations and self help resources as part of the journey to recovery.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education - Graduation from high school or the equivalent required.
Experience - A self-identified current or former user of behavioral health services or family member who can relate to others who are now using these services.
If in personal recovery, has demonstrated sobriety for a period of no less than 2 years.
Prior job experience of 1 year in a helping, health or educational field is preferred.
Licensure/Certification - Certification as a Peer Support Specialist in the state of Maryland is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Effective communication and computer skills required.
Knowledge of local community resources preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
