Responsibilities:
Master-level licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) or Master-level social worker (LMSW) with LCSW-C obtained within three years of employment.
Experience in working with families of young children and adolescents.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
At least five years' successful social work experience.
Knowledge of state and federal laws and educational mandates.
Excellent human relations skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, counselors, and school staff.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodations.
PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities:
Perform casework service with individual students to correct personal, social, or emotional maladjustments related to their educational and social progress.
Perform casework service with parents to increase the parents' understanding, their constructive participation in resolving their child's problems, and their knowledge and use of appropriate resources available.
Consult and collaborate with other school personnel and agencies in gathering and giving information on a case, and in establishing and planning for respective roles in the modifications of the student's behavior.
Make home visits for the purposes of gathering helpful information on a student's background.
Serve as a liaison between home and school when considerable follow-up is necessary.
Demonstrate courteous and professional treatment of all students, parents, and employees of Washington County Public Schools.
Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Environmental Factors and Physical/Mental demands represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Required prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to sufficiently move throughout the building and grounds.

Ability to travel district-wide and state-wide if needed.
