The Imaging Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services such as:
patient check-in, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting.
The Imaging Assistant is trained to use a variety of equipment, computers, and software.
Imaging Assistants may be assigned to work in various imaging areas, assist multiple radiology modalities and/or clinical services per operational needs.
The incumbent must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment.
Imaging Assistants assist with exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education - Graduation from high school or equivalent required.
Experience - Previous experience in a medical setting helpful but not necessary.
Licensure/Certification - Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Must have typing, computer and related skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to professionally communicate with patients, physicians and fellow employees.
